Export is a frame-accurate MP4, in either 9:16 (Shorts/Reels) or 16:9 (standard YouTube), from the same project.
Hardware-aware encoding
Vid Optimus detects whichever hardware encoder your machine actually has — NVIDIA NVENC, Intel Quick Sync, AMD AMF, Apple VideoToolbox — and races it against a CPU encode, using whichever is genuinely faster. If none qualify, it falls back to a clean CPU encode automatically; nothing has to be configured by hand.
Checking what was detected
Settings → Video encoding shows what was found, what was tried, and lets you force a specific encoder if you ever need to.
If a render fails partway
A hardware pass that fails mid-render falls back to a CPU encode on its own, and the scene restarts cleanly rather than producing a file with mixed codec settings.
