1. The agreement
By downloading, installing or using Vid Optimus (“the software”), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't install it. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are allowed to do so.
2. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software. The software is licensed, not sold, so we keep ownership of it. This is separate from your ownership of the videos you make with it, which is covered in section 3.
- A licence works on one computer at a time. Moving to a new computer is fine: deactivate the old one from your dashboard first, then activate the new one.
- The 7-day free trial needs no licence and no account.
- You may not resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the software or your licence key.
- You may not try to get around the licence check, or share a key publicly. Keys found shared publicly are revoked without a refund.
- You may not decompile or reverse-engineer the software, except where the law allows it regardless of this rule.
3. Acceptable use (please read this one)
You own the videos you make with Vid Optimus, including for commercial use. That includes the finished video, the voiceover and the visuals the app puts into it.
There is one real-world limit. Visuals, voices and other material from a third-party AI or stock provider also follow that provider's own terms. Most providers allow commercial use of what you generate, but their exact rules vary and can change. Check the provider's terms before publishing at commercial scale, especially for stock footage, which often has its own attribution or licence conditions.
You are welcome to use the software for:
- Any video made from your own script, for personal or commercial use.
- Publishing on YouTube, social platforms, courses, client work or anywhere else you have the right to publish.
- Using stock photos and video within the terms of the stock provider that supplied them.
You agree not to use the software to:
- Create content that is illegal to make or share where you live.
- Create content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or likeness rights.
- Identify, impersonate or defame a real person without their consent.
- Get around a provider's usage limits, content policy or terms of service.
- Abuse a connected provider's API, or use it fraudulently, in a way that breaks that provider's terms.
Vid Optimus does not review what you create, and as explained in the privacy policy, we hold no copy of your scripts or media. That is a deliberate choice, and it is also why you are responsible for following this section. If we learn that a licence is being used to create content that breaks this section, we may end it.
4. Plans, billing and the free trial
- New installs get a 7-day free trial: the full app with every feature, up to 3 videos a day and scripts up to 5,000 characters, with no watermark on anything you export.
- Prices for the Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime plans are shown on the pricing page and charged in the currency shown at checkout. Every plan includes the same features. They only differ in how you pay.
- Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
- A lifetime licence is a single payment with no renewal.
- If the trial ends without a licence, or a paid plan ends, the software locks until a licence is activated. Projects and videos you have already made are not deleted or changed.
- We may change prices for future purchases and renewals. An existing lifetime licence is never charged again.
5. Refunds
Please try everything free for 7 days first. The trial is the full app with nothing held back. It exists so you can find out if Vid Optimus is right for you before you pay.
Once a licence has been activated on a computer, all sales are final. A licence that was bought but never activated on any computer can still be refunded: email liaqateagle786@gmail.com from the address you bought with. Outside that case, we only consider refunds in exceptional situations, such as a duplicate charge or buying the wrong plan by mistake, at our discretion.
6. Third-party providers and software
Vid Optimus connects, with your own API keys, to third-party AI, stock and voice providers for script planning, images, stock media, voiceover and transcription. Your use of each provider through the app also falls under that provider's own terms. We don't control, and are not responsible for, how a provider handles your request, what it charges you, or changes it makes to its service.
The software also includes open-source components, including a media encoder, each under its own licence. Those licences still apply to those components.
7. Availability and updates
We aim to keep provider connections up to date as providers add and change models, and updates are included in every plan. We can't promise that any third-party provider will keep working or keep the same pricing, because that is outside our control.
8. Warranty
The software is provided “as is”. Beyond what the law requires, we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. If you have legal consumer rights, nothing here takes them away.
9. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profit, or any claim about content you chose to create or publish. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
10. Termination
You can stop using the software at any time. We may end a licence if these terms are broken, especially section 3 or the key-sharing rules in section 2. If we end a licence for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes, and we email account holders about significant changes instead of quietly updating the page. If you keep using the software after a change, you accept the updated terms.
