Stock photos and stock video

Six stock libraries, one search, inside your editor.

Find real photos and footage for every scene without leaving the app. One search covers Pexels, Pixabay, Openverse, Wikimedia Commons, NASA and the Internet Archive. Four of them need no key, so it works the day you install.

Stock footage without the tab juggling

Faceless channels live on stock footage, and finding it usually means six browser tabs and a downloads folder. Vid Optimus searches six libraries at once from the shot you are working on, and results from each are mixed together so no single source crowds the rest out.

Pexels and Pixabay ask for a free key. Openverse, Wikimedia Commons, NASA and the Internet Archive are open archives that need none, which is why stock search works from the moment you install.

Beyond the usual stock

Footage no stock site carries

NASA and Wikimedia Commons reach space footage, historic photos and real places that commercial libraries do not have. The Internet Archive adds twentieth-century film to pick from by hand.

Beyond the usual stock
  • NASA imagery for science and space channels
  • Wikimedia Commons for history and real places
  • Internet Archive film, picked by hand
  • Openverse for openly licensed images
Licences

Every credit line kept for you

Each clip carries its licence and author into your project, and the export screen hands you the credits at the moment you are about to publish. A licence the app cannot read is treated as needing a credit, so you are never left uncredited by mistake.

Licences
  • Licence and author saved per clip
  • Credits on the export screen
  • Cautious by default: unknown licences get a credit
Reliable runs

Made for unattended Auto mode

In Auto mode, AI Director picks a stock photo or video for each shot that needs one, and never repeats a pick. If a file cannot be used, too big, removed or unplayable, the next best result is tried, up to four in all.

Reliable runs
  • One archive down costs only its own results
  • Files over 250 MB are skipped
  • Clips download straight to disk

Which stock libraries does Vid Optimus search?

Pexels, Pixabay, Openverse, Wikimedia Commons, NASA and the Internet Archive, in one search.

Do I need API keys for stock footage?

Only for Pexels and Pixabay, and both keys are free. Openverse, Wikimedia Commons, NASA and the Internet Archive need no key.

Can I use stock footage commercially?

Each source has its own licence, and Vid Optimus keeps the licence and author of everything you use. Check the terms for each item before publishing at commercial scale, and use the credit lines the export screen gives you.

Will Auto mode use the same clip twice?

No. In Auto mode stock picks are never repeated within a project.

Can I mix stock footage with AI images?

Yes. Each shot can be an AI image, a stock photo or a stock video, chosen by you or by AI Director.

Why is the Internet Archive not used in Auto mode?

Its items can be whole films of several gigabytes, so it is kept for picking by hand rather than unattended runs.
