Auto Split
Number your images and clips 01, 02, 03 and SceneSync spreads them across the audio, cutting where the speaker pauses, never mid-word.
Best for Slideshows and quick videos
Vid Optimus is a script-to-video app for Windows and Mac. It plans every shot, adds voiceover and visuals, and writes captions that match your words exactly. Your script is never rewritten.
Works with the AI providers you already use, and six stock libraries
Nothing in your script changes. Vid Optimus builds the pictures, the voice and the captions around it.
In 1985, a routine deep-sea expedition uncovered something that shouldn’t exist. The crew’s instruments went silent at 3,200 meters and what the sonar showed next changed everything.
No editing skills needed. You stay in control at every step.
Vid Optimus splits it into scenes at your own sentences and paragraphs. Not a single word is rewritten.
It reads your whole script first, then decides how many shots each scene needs, where each picture or clip comes from, and how long it stays on screen.
Auto mode records the voiceover and finds the visuals at the same time. Stock picks never repeat, and you can change anything.
Add motion, transitions, fonts and captions on a live 60fps timeline. Then export a frame-accurate MP4.
Have a narration, a podcast clip or a voice actor's take? Add the audio file instead of a script. Vid Optimus writes out what you said, cuts it into scenes that line up with your recording, then builds the visuals and captions around it. Your voice is what plays, at your own pace.
Doodle Maker is a whole tool for whiteboard videos. Give it a script or a recording and it plans every board. Then a hand sketches your pictures, writes your points letter by letter and draws icons, arrows and charts on the word they are said.
Already have the audio and the visuals? SceneSync puts them together into a video. Choose your recording or your song, drop in a folder of photos and video clips named 01, 02, 03, mixed in any order, and SceneSync times every cut for you.
Check the timing before you create it: play it with your images and clips and drag any cut on the waveform. Then your video opens on the timeline, where captions, music, the opening hook, colour looks and export all work as usual.
See how SceneSync worksNumber your images and clips 01, 02, 03 and SceneSync spreads them across the audio, cutting where the speaker pauses, never mid-word.
Best for Slideshows and quick videos
Say exactly when each image or clip starts, to the tenth of a second: in the file name, a cue sheet, Audacity labels or subtitles.
Best for When you already know your timings
Got the audio but no visuals yet? SceneSync splits it into scenes on its sentences and saves a scene sheet telling you what image or clip to make for each.
Best for Starting from a recording
Bring a song and your images and clips. Every cut lands on the beat: every beat, every bar, or faster where the music gets loud.
Best for Music videos and montages
Most tools give you one picture per line. AI Director reads your whole script first and writes a Story Bible: its places, its people, its look and its mood. Then it plans every scene knowing the story, so a place looks the same every time it appears and characters keep their face.
It chooses how many shots a scene needs, where each one comes from, how long it stays on screen, and where to cut to a chart, a map or a text card. Pick a template, from Top 10 to Mystery, and it cuts the way that kind of video is cut. Your words stay exactly as you wrote them, and every choice stays editable.
Most viewers decide in the first few seconds whether to keep watching. Vid Optimus can open your video with a line from your own narration, slammed on screen with a punch-in, a flash and its own sound. For those four seconds there is no narration and no music, so the words get the viewer's full attention. Then scene 1 starts.
AI Director picks the line most likely to keep someone watching: a figure, a deadline, a date or a mystery. It only ever puts your own words on screen.
Pictures from different places rarely match. Pick a colour look and every photo and clip in your video gets the same grade, so it feels like one film instead of a pile of images. You pick from a grid that shows your own first picture in every look.
It's in the new-project wizard, on the create screen and in the Look tab on the timeline. The live preview shows it as you scrub.
Cinematic
Teal shadows, warm highlights
Use one source or mix all three. Pick for each scene, or let AI Director choose. Four of the six stock libraries need no API key at all.
Create images with 40+ models, including FLUX, Nano Banana, Seedream, GPT Image and Recraft. Connect the provider you like with your own key, or make them on your own graphics card with the Vidoptimus Image Server, with no per-image fee.
One search covers Pexels, Pixabay, Openverse, Wikimedia Commons and NASA. Four of them need no key, so the picker works before you have set anything up. Every credit line is saved for you.
Real clips from the same search, ranked together and never repeated in Auto mode. NASA and Wikimedia Commons reach footage no stock library carries, and the Internet Archive adds twentieth-century film to pick from by hand.
Install the Vidoptimus Image Server next to Vid Optimus and your GPU becomes the image provider. It runs FLUX.2, and on cards with 12 GB or more also Z-Image Turbo for photorealism, FLUX.1 [schnell] for detailed prompts and Qwen Image Edit for the same face or style across images. It picks the right engine for your card by itself, with no API bill at the end of the month.
No credits and no per-image fee. Make as many as your video needs, and re-roll any you don't like.
About 3 to 6 seconds an image on a modern graphics card. The model stays loaded between images.
Reads up to 4 reference pictures, so your cast's faces and your style picture keep their look in every scene.
After a one-time model download, your prompts and pictures never leave your computer.
When a line gives a number, names a place or makes a bold claim, AI Director can show it as an animated chart, a moving map or a text card, with no stock clip needed. They're drawn on your computer, so they need no API key and cost nothing extra.
Bars grow, lines draw and counters tick up while the numbers are spoken. AI Director picks the chart that fits the line.
Twelve map types. The camera flies to the place you mention, drops pins, draws a route with a plane, ship, car or train on it, or turns the globe. Five styles, from Clean and Vintage atlas to Relief with real terrain.
Big, animated text for a key stat, a quote or a chapter title, in its own headline type: Impact, Clean, Condensed, Heavy, Editorial or Typewriter. Each line rises into place, with a small label above and a line under. Or lay a heading straight onto your own picture.
Every chart value is checked against the words it plays over. If your script doesn't say a figure, it's dropped, never made up.
Countries, cities and continents are looked up in map data built into the app, with over 7,000 cities, so every pin lands in the right place.
A chart or map stays on screen while its numbers or places are being read out, then the video moves on.
Change a label, a value, a place or the chart type on the Visuals screen, then redraw the shot in one click.
Turn on Charts, Maps or Motion graphics in AI Director. After reading the whole script, it only uses them where a line has a number, a place or a point worth putting on screen.
Word-by-word captions follow your script, not a guess from speech-to-text. If the transcription mishears a word, your captions are still right.
Add pan and zoom, transitions, fonts and karaoke-style captions with a live 60fps preview. The preview uses the same engine as the export, so what you see is what you get.
A right-to-left script is laid out the way it reads, word highlighting and all, in captions and in text cards. It is worked out from your script, so there is nothing to turn on.
Each new picture lands slightly zoomed in and settles in a fifth of a second, in the preview and the export. Turn it on with the effects on the timeline.
Your project saves as you work. There is no save button and nothing to lose.
No locked features and no upgrade walls. Plans only differ in how you pay.
One click makes the whole video. Voiceover and visuals are created together, so there's nothing to watch over. If you stop it, it picks up where it left off.
The people in your script are found for you, and each keeps the same face in every shot. Turn it on in the wizard or on the Visuals screen.
Photorealistic, cinematic, anime, oil painting, cyberpunk and more. Your style is applied to every AI image.
A free neural voice is built in, no key needed. Or connect ElevenLabs, Fish Audio, MusaTTS Voice Clone Pro and other premium voices, including voice cloning. Preview a voice before you voice every scene.
Music dips under your voice and comes back in the pauses, and the whole mix is set to the loudness YouTube and TikTok play at.
Export 9:16 for Shorts and Reels, or 16:9 for YouTube, from the same project.
Pexels, Pixabay, Openverse, Wikimedia Commons, NASA and the Internet Archive. Only the first two ask for a key.
Urdu, Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and the rest read right to left in captions and motion graphics, detected from your own words.
Each clip carries its licence and its author through to the export screen, at the moment you are about to publish.
Vid Optimus finds the fastest video encoder on your computer and uses it. No GPU? It falls back to your CPU.
Keys are encrypted in your system's secure keychain. They are never stored as plain text or uploaded.
One licence covers both. Move it to another computer any time from your dashboard.

No. Vid Optimus has no credits. You connect your own API keys for the AI providers you want to use. The built-in voice and stock photos and videos are free, with no key needed. Your licence is one flat price with unlimited videos.
No. You bring the script. AI Director plans the shots and visuals around your words, and your narration is never rewritten.
Yes. On the Script screen, choose Use a voiceover and pick your audio file (MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, FLAC, Opus or WMA). It is transcribed with Groq or OpenAI using your own key, and you can fix any misheard word. Then it is cut into scenes that match your recording, and visuals and captions are built around it. Your recording is what plays, so no AI voice is generated.
Both. There is a download for Windows 10/11 and a separate download for macOS.
One at a time. To switch computers, deactivate the old one from your dashboard and activate the new one. You can do this any time.
Yes. Turn on consistent characters in the new-project wizard or on the Visuals screen. AI Director finds the people in your script and adds them to your cast with a description of how they look, and on Runware and the Vidoptimus Image Server each gets a reference portrait that goes with every shot they are in, so their face stays the same.
The whole story. With Story continuity on (the default), the Director reads your whole script once and writes a Story Bible: what the story is, its look, its places, its people and how it divides into stretches of place, time and mood. Each place gets a fixed description added to every picture set there, so it looks the same every time it appears. You can read and edit the Story Bible on the Plan screen. It only shapes the pictures; your words are never changed.
Yes. Text on picture lays a heading straight onto a scene's own picture in one of eight styles: Headline, Chapter title, Place stamp, Name tag, Quote, Split screen, Big number or Boxed headline. Photo treatments show a picture as a real object, like a polaroid, a newspaper clipping or an evidence board. Every word on them must be one your narration says, and AI Director can place them for you, including chapter titles, time jumps, re-hooks and name tags where the story turns.
Yes. New in 3.0, Doodle Maker turns a script or a recording into a video a hand draws on a board as it is spoken: pictures sketched and coloured in, words written letter by letter, and icons, arrows and charts drawn on the word they are said. It has its own place in the sidebar, 11 boards, and you see every board before any picture is made.
Yes. Every export also saves an .srt beside the MP4, and the Subtitles button saves one without rendering anything.
Every picture, video, voice, music file and layer is checked before rendering starts. If one is missing, the export stops straight away and lists it with its scene and shot, before a video is counted. Text cards, hooks and photo treatments whose files were lost are drawn again by themselves.
Yes. The new-project wizard has six templates: Documentary, History, Mystery, Top 10, Shorts explainer and News explainer. One pick sets up the whole edit the way that kind of video is cut, from the cut rhythm and graphics to the colour look and headline type, and every choice can be switched off. Top 10 works for ranked lists of any length, with each entry's own number and name on its first picture, and a Mystery keeps its answer for the moment it is revealed.
Yes. Turn on Charts, Maps or Motion graphics in AI Director. When a line says a number, names a place or makes a key point, it can show it as an animated chart, a moving map or a text card. There are 12 map types in five styles, and a route can carry a plane, ship, car or train. Chart values and map figures are only taken from what your script actually says, and places are looked up in map data built into the app. These are drawn on your computer, so they need no API key and cost nothing extra.
Yes. Tick Opening hook in AI Director and your video opens with a line from your own narration, slammed on screen with a punch-in, a flash and its own sound. The hook plays for four seconds before scene 1, with no narration or music under it, so scene 1 keeps its own first picture. There are 11 styles, from Statement and Number to Cold open, Countdown and Rapid fire. It only ever shows words your script says, and you can change or remove it on the Visuals screen.
Yes, with SceneSync. Choose your audio, add your images (JPG or PNG) and video clips (MP4) named in order, like 01.jpg, 02.mp4, 03.png, mixed however you like, and SceneSync lines them up. Images can get a slow zoom, and clips play as they were shot. Auto Split changes picture in the speaker's pauses, Exact Match starts each picture at a time you set, Transcribe & Guide tells you what pictures to make for each scene, and Beat Sync cuts on the beat of a song. Captions come from a Groq or OpenAI key; Beat Sync needs no key. The video then opens on the normal timeline.
Yes. Pick one of eight colour looks, from Cinematic and Warm documentary to Cold thriller, Vintage film, Black & white, Punchy, Noir and Faded matte, and set its strength. You can add film grain, a vignette and 2.39:1 cinema bars on 16:9 videos. The look grades your photos and clips only, so maps, charts, text cards and the hook keep their own colours, and captions stay sharp on top.
Yes. Run the Vidoptimus Image Server on a computer with a modern graphics card and it makes images with FLUX.2, in about 3 to 6 seconds each, with no per-image fee. Paste the Server URL and API key it shows into Settings, under AI Images. It reads reference pictures too, so your style and recurring characters keep their look. It is included with your licence: download it from the Image Server page, linked under Resources.
Yes. Music dips under your voice automatically and comes back in the pauses, and the finished mix is set to -14 LUFS, the loudness YouTube and TikTok play at. You can turn the levelling off, and set how far the music dips.
Captions are matched word for word to your script, not to raw speech-to-text. So they stay correct even if the transcription mishears a word.
Yes. Right-to-left scripts are laid out the way they read, in captions and in text cards, including word-by-word highlighting. Vid Optimus works it out from your own script, so there is nothing to switch on, and you can still set the direction by hand on any caption or text layer.
Six libraries, searched together: Pexels and Pixabay, plus NASA, Wikimedia Commons, Openverse and the Internet Archive. Only Pexels and Pixabay ask for a key, so stock search works the day you install. The licence and the credit line for everything you use are kept with your project and handed to you on the export screen.
A frame-accurate MP4, in 9:16 (vertical, for Shorts and Reels) or 16:9 (horizontal, for YouTube), from the same project.

The trial gives you 7 days, up to 3 videos a day, scripts up to 5,000 characters and no watermark. When it ends, the app locks until you activate a licence. There is no free plan after the trial.
Yes. AI images, stock search, voiceover and transcription all use online providers, and your licence is checked online. The final video is rendered on your own computer.
Windows 10/11 or macOS, plus disk space for your projects (you can pick any drive). You don't need a GPU. Vid Optimus finds the fastest video encoder on your computer and falls back to your CPU if there isn't one.
